The D-Foundation supported three marriages

This month we have been able to support three marriages for underprivileged families. One of the newly married women is Sita Devi, a widow who has three daughters. She lives in Paterava, Sarnath and works on the fields while also raising her children. We have also been able to arrange government support (widows pension) for Sita. We also hope to get her the government Red card which gives further support to her.

Another person we helped regarding their marriage was Virendar Maurya who could not afford the expenses involved. He is the son of Rajukumari who we also have helped previously.

Social pressure force couples to expensive marriage costs and this can be very difficult for some and they are forced to take a loan. This leads to more pressure in repaying the loans with high interest and should be avoided if possible. With the support of the D-Foundation these poor people can go ahead with their marriage and live a normal life.
