Roter Lotus Medical Care: Out-Patients Department – 21st of August 2011
The Out-Patients Department (OPD) was again opened on Sunday the 21st of August and once again the crowds came in huge numbers. As we advance our visits to the slums and impoverished areas, word continues to spread about the important medical service we are offering. We see many faces again for follow up appointments and after care. This Sunday was no different and there was a huge crowd keeping the staff extremely busy all day.

Place of Health Camp: at our Roter Lotus Medical Centre
Area we covered/listed villages: Faridpur, Khavpur, Sandaha, Chhahi and Sultanpur, Vyaspur,singhpur,tarapur tikari, panchkoshi, ( around 25 to 30 km from Sarnath)

Patients who attended: Patients from all age groups attended the camps. There were many children, elder citizens and men. However women accounted for the largest numbers, many of whom had not received medical care in many years. Almost all suffered from weakness and issues relating in malnutrition. Other problems related to eyes, stomach, chest, fever, joint pain, itching and jaundice. The gynecologist was also present and she also treated a variety of problems.
