Projects News Update
Mohini
Mohini, the young girl who came to us a few months ago is doing well. She was very ill when we first met her and needed an operation. Thankfully she is now in good health and we are helping her to get an education. Mohini’s parents cannot afford to send her to school even though she was a good student and achieved high marks in her intermediate and higher secondary class. She would like to study further so we admitted her to a local degree college. Furthermore we are providing computer classes and vocational training to her. We hope in the future she will be able to have a job and perhaps even work for the D-Foundation. She will then be self-sufficient and be able to care for herself and her family. We will try to help Mohini as much as possible in the next three years until her rehabilitation is complete. By then she will have completed her degree and have real prospects in life.
Vocational Training
In our vocational training centres we have started to teach massage to students with the help of our volunteers. We are also providing training to Ruksana in relaxation massage treatment. This will be a useful skill in her work in the home for the elderly. With the help of another volunteer we started to teach fashion designing course to our girls and women in vocational centres to improve creativity and generating one more skills for them.
Boys Home
We have installed a television for the boys in Juvenile Home. This will help them pass the time while giving them a view of current affairs in the outside world.
Academy
In the Academy we are trying to create a connection between the students here and children in Denmark. Children from both sides are writing letters and drawing pictures for their friends in the other country.
