Direct support for Anita and Ruksana
Anita is the daughter of Rajkumari who we provide assistance for. She is in Class 3 in a local school. One day she was beaten by the teacher and decided not to go to school. Rajkumari told us of the situation and explained that the reason for the beating was because they could not afford school fees. We now pay for her fees, school dress, books and copies. And we strongly recommended to the principal regarding abuse of the children. We also asked him to call us in the future. Anita recently passed Class 3 with 64.44% and we are looking for the fourth class admission.
Last month we have provided the necessary clothes and goods to Ruksana for her daily life. We provide her with accommodation in the widow’s ashram in Sarnath. There we provide her with free accommodation and food. She is also working with us there as a nurse and supporting us in the nearby vocational center. She is happy with her job so far and is establishing a good relation with other staff and the elderly women who live in the ashram.
