Dipchand - stomach operation

We have provided support to Dipchand, a labourer aged 32 who lives in Gazhipur, Varanasi. Dipchand needed an operation on his stomach. However when he went to the doctor with his National Health Card he was refused treatment.

With the Health card, people who live under the poverty line are entitled to free medical care for up to Rs.30000. The D-Foundation went to another doctor and asked that he be treated for his problem. The operation was a success and he is now in good health.
